Today is Marie's birthday. We went to Kettle Cove again. The painting above is mine, below is Marie's. It was hot inland, but you wouldn't know it there. Betsy and Sara were there as well.

I'm looking across a little cove , the bit of land to the right is Cousin's Island. A bunch of dingys tied up to shore.
It was a pretty grey day. These two lobster boats were moored out in front of us. I got there late because I thought we were going to Bug Light in South Portland. And then it rained. Lyn took some pictures which I was able to use to finish up the boats.
I painted these daisies yesterday. What I found was that they don't want to be arranged like this, nicely fanned out. I think they react to gravity, at first I thought it was sunshine, but they little by little straighten up standing tall. So three hours later I could barely us them as at all to help me with my little painting.
This is from a group painting session at Sara Gray's family place in West Boothbay looking across the water to the east. 10x12
